Chapter Seven

“Get her. Don’t allow her to run into the harem. I’ll cut your fucking heads off,” Rustem bellowed. She finds a way into the harem, with her new born hunger, she’ll have all my women hysterical,” he yelled as his men ran after the gorgeous concubine.

She was fast and strong, and it would take more than one of his guards to bring her back. The beauty turned and bared her fangs sending the trained warriors into a frenzy. They knew her bite would not be euphoric but deadly. However, they’d take the bite because their master would demand it of them. She hissed and let her eyes darken into a fiery red.

“You idiots, do you think you can catch me!” she screamed. She took off toward the silken billowing curtains that led to Rustem’s harem.

“By Allah, I will make each one of you eunuchs. She’s heading toward my harem.” However, before she could get through the large silken curtains she stopped dead in her tracks. A tall dark figure loomed over her. He reached out and caught her by the throat. All bodies stopped their raucous running and stood there weapons drawn looking at the tall handsome man.

“Ah, Rustem, must I constantly tell you to be careful making new vampires? I’m getting tired of fixing your mistakes. This one is gorgeous. What were you thinking?” he said holding her as if she was but a small child. She tried to move, but his grip was hard and steady.

Rustem fell to his knees. “Master I am weak. She was so amazing in my bed. She pushed, she wanted this, I am weak. I granted her, her wish.”

The tall strong man turned to his captive. “I’ll have to break your neck, and then decapitate you if you don’t behave. If I put you down do you promise to stay put, here with me?” he asked her.

She managed a slight nod, but he’d already embedded in her new and changing brain that he was the master and she had to obey. He loosened his grip letting her slide to the floor and wound her arms around his ankles.

“I ought to break your neck Rustem,” the tall stranger said. “This is the fifth one this month. You’re done. You’ve been a vampire long enough and you should have control over your desires.”

“Yes Master,” Rustem said staying on his knees visibly shaken at Royce’s appearance.

Royce bared his fangs. He knew it was a mistake to turn Rustem, but Charade had insisted on it. She was his sister and she had been in love with Rustem at the time. However, she was gone now, off with a human lover leaving him to deal with her discards. “By Allah, I have heard that cry too often. You have one more chance. You feed and nothing more. I don’t want to return to clean up your messes. I’d have Charade’s neck if she wasn’t my sister.”
